A total of 819 artistes and executives have received invitations. Other prominent Indian names included in the list are casting director Nandini Shrikent, documentary filmmakers Nishtha Jain and Amit Madheshiya, visual effects supervisors Vishal Anand and Sandeep Kamal.

We have always embraced extraordinary talent that reflects the rich variety of our global film community, and never more so than now,” Academy President David Rubin was quote by PTI. Interestingly, Alia Bhatt’s last movie ‘Gully Boy‘, was India’s official entry for best international feature category for the 2019 Oscars. However, the film didn’t not get an Oscar nomination.
