Tesco and Sainsbury’s clothes are trending on TikTok because people can’t believe how stylish they are

There’s something about spring that warrants some wardrobe updates. Especially spring 2021. We have all felt the dark, cold days. We’ve been through hurdles to get here, we sacrificed our Christmas to keep safe and mostly been holed up inside ever since.

We’ve lived in the same leggings, lounge pants and PJ bottoms for months – we are quite literally crying out for something new to wear, something mood-boosting for a season that’s bringing hope that this pandemic might soon be coming to an end.

With lockdown looking like it *might* ease up in the not-too-distant future, right now nothing is making us cheerier than looking at some of the beauties landing in store. We aren’t necessarily talking online stores either, in actual shops. SUPERMARKETS.

Yep, it turns out there are some serious big-hitters landing in your local Sainsbury’s and Tesco right now after some TikTok users shared posted about their recent hauls, closely resembling the kind of pieces we usually pick out from Zara or H&M – at budget prices we most definitely approve of.

TikTok star Sofia Q shared a video inside her local Sainsbury’s, writing, “Tesco is the new Zara but Sainsbury’s is the new Monki,” going on to share rails of stylish pieces including floral cardis, neutral loungewear and zesty spring knitwear.

Another TikTok user Emma Kirsten posted a video with the caption, “Is Tesco the new Zara?” with matching co-ords, cute overshirts and chic macs.

Meanwhile, one TikToker user shared a video which said ‘If you’re a fan of Zara watch this.” She goes on to share a pair of faux leather mom jeans which she found too baggy and too long. She wrote “Tesco do the exact same pair” adding “there’s no excess material and they’re the perfect length.” She goes on to say, “The quality is exactly the same but the Tesco ones are £5.99 cheaper.”

Of course, these vids had us pretty psyched about what we could get from our local Tesco’s F&F collection and TU at Sainsbury’s too so we’ve picked out some of our favourite pieces landing in-store within the next few weeks.
